A man pleaded not guilty today to stabbing another man in Farmingdale.

Police say 23-year-old Christopher Rios stabbed a 49-year-old male victim on Fallwood Parkway and Robert Street in Farmingdale last night.

Police say the two men got into a verbal altercation earlier in the day at a nearby gas station.

Police say Rios went to the victim's home last night, and an argument ensued. Authorities say Rios then stabbed the man multiple times with an unknown object and fled the scene on foot.

Rios was arraigned today on assault charges.

The victim is currently recovering at the hospital.
