Members of the 106th Rescue Wing, stationed in Westhampton Beach, took to the skies around noon from Gabreski Air National Guard Base. 

The group first went east along the south fork, before turning north to Greenport and following the North Shore and looping around to New Hyde Park.

Chopper 12 was there to capture footage of the flyover across Long Island.
