A dead whale was found floating in the waters Monday near East Atlantic Beach.
Chopper 12 went up and captured a boat circling around the whale.
The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society confirmed the whale found in the water, saying," We were recently informed of a floating deceased whale. We are currently working on plans for when it lands."
They say it was found in the water at around 2 p.m.
The agency tells News 12 it is working on plans for when the whale reaches the shore.
The Atlantic Marine Conservation Society says a necropsy on the whale is scheduled for Tuesday.
