Two middle school boys returned to their Syosset home Tuesday and discovered the bodies of their murdered parents.
Police say 12-year-old and 13-year-old brothers knocked on the door of their Doone Drive home after school, expecting their mother to answer. According to police, the children used a spare key and found their parents lying on the floor with apparent gunshot wounds. After running across the street and getting help from a neighbor, they called 911.
Investigators are considering the deaths of 46-year-old Jaspal Singh and his wife, 38-year-old Geeta Singh, homicides. No arrests have been made in connection with the murders. Neighbors say the family moved into town less than a year ago.
