The Queens district attorney says Herman Brightman bound the victim's wrist, taped her mouth shut and threatened her with a knife following an argument in August.

Central Islip man accused of kidnapping and threatening to kill girlfriend
A Central Islip man allegedly kidnapped and threatened to kill his girlfriend.
The Queens district attorney says Herman Brightman bound the victim's wrist, taped her mouth shut and threatened her with a knife following an argument in August.
The district attorney says Brightman also destroyed the woman's cellphone and computer.
He is due back in court in November. If convicted, Brightman faces up to 25 years in prison.
