'Brings light into the dark.' Central Islip HS concert choir performs with Broadway royalty

The Central Islip High School concert choir shared the stage at LIU Post with Broadway legend Lin-Manuel Miranda.
They performed with him on the first night of the 2023/2024 season at The Tilles Center.
Students say they were proud to have the opportunity to put Central Islip "center stage" and in a positive light.
"The fact that we've been invited to perform with Lin-Manuel Miranda at the Tilles Center means everything, right? It, it, tears away all that badness, it brings light into the dark, it just, it's beautiful." said Central Islip High School senior Alejandro Heredia-Rodriguez.
