Cement truck malfunction causes explosion in Long Beach

The City of Long Beach has confirmed that an explosion occurred around 9 a.m. today. News 12 has learned a Gomez Cement truck had an equipment malfunction, causing the cement to shoot out of the truck.

The City of Long Beach has confirmed that an explosion occurred around 9 a.m. today.
News 12 has learned a Gomez Cement truck had an equipment malfunction, causing the cement to shoot out of the truck. 
The incident occurred at West Elementary School on Maryland and Park avenues. The cement covered a nearby car, shattering one of its windows and a window at the school. 
Long Beach workers have since cleaned up the mess. 
There was no report of any injuries.
