Whether for charity or for fun, some St. Patrick's Day celebrations will kick off this weekend on Long Island.
The annual Kings Park parade starts at noon on Saturday. On Sunday, several parades, including in East Islip and Bethpage, will be held.
For Long Islanders who just want to enjoy some drinks, the charity group March of the Leprechauns will hold a pub crawl in Riverhead Saturday. Patrons can purchase bracelets to be used at participating bars, restaurants and breweries.
Proceeds from the pub crawl will benefit the East End Emerald Society and the homeless-outreach organization Maureen's Haven.
St. Patrick's Day is March 17.
