CDC: At least 52 cases of COVID-19 UK variant in the US

CDC officials say the variant appears to spread more easily, but there's no evidence that it's any more deadly.

There are now more than 50 U.S. cases of a contagious coronavirus variant first discovered in the United Kingdom, according to the CDC.   
New data says at least 52 cases have been found in the U.S., including 26 cases in California and 22 cases in Florida.
There is also at least one case in Saratoga Springs, New York.
CDC officials say the variant appears to spread more easily, but there's no evidence that it's any more deadly.
