A cafe in Northport is helping to break down barriers for people with disabilities.
Stacy Whol, who has two children with autism, created the Cause Cafe not only with the idea of providing a great place to eat, but also a great place for people with disabilities to work.
"We have a volunteer training program," says Whol. "Once we find a job they are capable of, we put them on payroll."
When Jonathon Barkscale started working he was very shy. Now, he is a kitchen worker, and also the cafe's greeter.
"It's amazing. I love it here. I also love the people that I work with," says Barkscale.
The Cause Cafe is located at 1014 Fort Salonga Road.
