A car theft that occurred in front of a pizzeria in Seaford Friday night was captured on video, providing clear evidence of the crime.

The incident took place just after 6 p.m. in front of Za Late Night Pizzeria on Merrick Road.

According to the pizzeria's owner, one of his drivers had left the keys in the car. Then, an individual was seen on camera jumping into the vehicle and driving off — notably, in reverse.

Local authorities have been alerted and are using the footage as part of their ongoing investigation. Police have yet to release information about potential suspects or the whereabouts of the stolen vehicle.
