Officials say charges are growing against the kosher catering service accused of serving non-kosher food to thousands of Long Islanders. The owner of Morrell Caterers, Scott Morrell, has already been accused of storing kosher food with non-kosher meals while trying to expand his business. Now, dozens of people who once worked as waiters, bartenders and busboys are coming forward, claiming that they were stiffed on millions of dollars in tips over the past six years. The new claims will be part of a $10 million class-action lawsuit potentially involving up to 500 current and former employees. Scott Morrell says the allegations are completely baseless and insists his workers received every penny they were owed. He says in his business' 46 years, he's never received a single complaint on the matter. Morrell Caterers has three locations at temples and Jewish centers in Woodbury, Lawrence and Melville.
