Several Port Jefferson residents woke up Friday morning to find their cars burning in their driveways, police say.
According to investigators, seven cars were torched on Continental and Magnolia drives around 3:30 a.m. Some of the vehicles were in the street, some in driveways and all were different makes and models. Most had been left unlocked, police say, and items like GPS units and iPods were stolen from them as well.
The Suffolk Arson Squad is investigating the incident. No arrests have been made in the case.
Police say one care was egged, and a mailbox was ripped out of the ground.
