Officials say a Carle Place home went up in flames Monday afternoon.

They say the family was able to get out of their home on Curtis Avenue safely and rescue all of their pets.

Officials say that the fire spread to a neighbor’s house and melted some of their exterior siding, but no one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
