Nearly 70 inmates at the Taconic Correctional Facility for women were able to celebrate an Advent Mass Monday led by Cardinal Timothy Dolan.
New York's Archbishop, Cardinal Dolan, visited the women's prison in Bedford Hills to celebrate Mass
During his homily, Cardinal Dolan drew parallels between Advent, the season of waiting, and all the inmates at Taconic, all patiently waiting for their lives to turn around and leave the facility.
Cardinal Dolan says he visits four prisons every year as part of his ministry.
