A car crashed into a Checkers restaurant in Shirley this morning, rupturing a gas line and sparking a fire, police say.
Authorities say the crash occurred around 8:30 a.m.
The incident closed the William Floyd Parkway between Montauk Highway and Northern Boulevard.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze. It's not yet clear what caused the crash.
There were no injuries.
