A car plowed into Merrick Avenue Middle School on Wednesday, sending the driver to the hospital.
Surveillance video shows the car slamming into a side door to the school around 4:30 p.m. The driver became pinned inside the vehicle.
Emergency responders cut off the car's roof to rescue the male driver.
No one else was hurt.
Ron Lehmann, who lives just down the street, was outside when he says the sedan crashed through a fence at high speed before hitting the school.
Police say they don't know if the driver suffered some kind of a medical episode.
Class was out for the day, but many students were still at school for sports practice.
School officials say they sent out an email to parents saying class will be in session on Thursday.
