Thousands of supporters of President Donald Trump gathered on Jericho Turnpike in East Northport Sunday for a car parade.
This is Long Island's second MAGA-gras Car Parade, and was organized by Shawn Farash. The group drove down Route 25 to Riverhead.
The crowd was heard chanting "fill that seat," in reference to Trump announcing that he plans on nominating a woman next week to replace the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
His Democratic rival, Joe Biden, says the decision on her replacement should wait until after the vote.
Drivers say the parade caused traffic as cars headed east. Attendees say they have the right to show their support to Trump.
Counterprotesters gathered in Greenport where they held a peaceful demonstration to show their support for Biden and vice presidential candidate Kamala Harris.
