It’s a place where spooky meets supportive: students of all abilities can feel spooky.
Staff at the Nassau BOCES’ Rosemary Kennedy School for disabilities transformed one of the school’s buildings into a haunted house for its students.
Many of the students are unable to visit traditional haunted houses, so this brings the spooky experience to them.
Typically, the facility is used to teach students skills for independent living.
Each room of the house has its own theme.
The living room is a graveyard and pumpkin patch.
The hallway is a “spooky” cave.
There is also a scavenger hunt for the students.
