Police say a car flipped over on railroad tracks and damaged part of the LIRR crossing gates in Syosset. 
According to police, a silver car hit a metal post that is part of the crossing gates on Jackson Avenue around 11:40 p.m. Wednesday. 
No one was hurt during the incident and it appears the MTA has already fixed the damage.
So far there are no train delays through the area.
