Nassau County Legislator Seth Koslow is looking to upset Republican incumbent Bruce Blakeman in the race for Nassau County executive.

Blakeman and his challenger Koslow weren't shy when they faced off in our Vote 2025 election debate. The matchup in the studio matched the tenor of the campaign.

Blakeman has enthusiastically touted his decisions over the past four years, while Koslow has criticized the incumbent at every turn, and is offering a different approach on a whole host of issues.

History may be on Koslow's side- the last time an incumbent Nassau County executive won re-election the year after their party won the White House was in 1993. Blakeman, who enjoys the endorsement of President Donald Trump, says the trend means nothing.

Koslow might need history's help. Blakeman's campaign is far outraising, and outspending, the Democrat from Merrick.
