Cadet laid to rest after saving swimmer in Southampton

A funeral was held today for the young military cadet who died while trying to save someone from drowning at a Southampton beach.  Today would have been West Point cadet Tom Surdykye's 19th birthday.

A funeral was held today for the young military cadet who died while trying to save someone from drowning at a Southampton beach. 
Today would have been West Point cadet Tom Surdykye's 19th birthday. 
The Missouri teen died after saving a swimmer from drowning at Coopers Beach.
Surdyke's mom said on Facebook that he continued to save lives even after death by becoming an organ donor.
