A Suffolk County building super is under arrest and accused of stealing from the residents of a senior housing complex.
Police say John Alaia, 37, burglarized numerous apartments at the Walden Pond complex in East Moriches.
According to police, Alaia would use his position as the superintendent to get into the apartments when residents were not home.
Alaia is charged with four counts of burglary, but police want to know if there are more victims.
The investigation into the thefts is continuing, and detectives ask that residents of the complex call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752 if they have missing items, especially jewelry.
Alaia is being held on $60,000 cash, $180,000 bond. He is due back in court Dec. 9.
