A brush fire broke out Sunday afternoon at Morewood Park in Smithtown.
The Smithtown Fire Department says crews arrived and found a 200 by 150-foot area burning deep in the woods behind the park.
The dry, windy conditions combined with hilly terrain made it challenging for crews to battle the flames.
The blaze was extinguished within an hour and 15 minutes.
Officials say one firefighter was evaluated and treated by EMS at the scene.
