Brooklyn man arrested, charged with hate crime in Crown Heights stabbing

Police say a Brooklyn man was arrested and charged with a hate crime for allegedly stabbing another man in Crown Heights.

Armani Charles, 23, was taken into custody just before 7 p.m. Monday.

Charles is accused of making antisemitic statements toward a 35-year-old man before stabbing him in the chest with a knife.

The NYPD says the attack happened on Dec. 16, just after 4 p.m., near Kingston Avenue and Lincoln Place.

Charles faces several assault and hate crime charges.
