Residents of Bronxwood Assisted Living celebrated the facility's 40th anniversary.
The event, dubbed "Bronxwood Day," was held at the Evander Childs High School football field on Sunday.
This year's celebration was larger than ever before, and featured a lion exhibit, the local Celia Cruz High School choir and a magician who has performed on NBC's "America's Got Talent."
Organizers say about 1,500 people came out for the "Wizard of Oz" themed festivities.
