A Bronx mother is desperately searching for her teenage daughter, who she says is suicidal.
According to Ruthie Roman, her daughter Natasha Alers has been missing since Wednesday after leaving behind a note saying that she no longer wants to live.
The girl's school contacted Roman the same day her daughter disappeared to say she hadn't been to class for a week.
Roman says that her 15-year-old daughter has a history of mental illness and survived a previous suicide attempt in September. Roman has stomach cancer, which has left her wheelchair-bound, and she says this has also impacted her daughter's emotional state.
Alers is described as Hispanic and stands at just over 5 feet tall. She weighs about 125 pounds.
Roman turned the suicide note over to police, who are now investigating her disappearance. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
