Thousands of Bronx residents turned up Sunday to celebrate Rapfest 2006. Rappers from the Bronx and all over the country took to the streets to perform at the 12th annual event. Challenging the stereotype of ?gangsta rap? these artists rhyme about God. Performers say with Hip Hop as their tool, performing in the street is a more effective way to spread their message than a traditional church setting. The rappers say they hope their message will leave a lasting impression on Bronx kids and inspire them to make positive changes in their lives.
