Broken elevator at Freeport complex working after 2 weeks of trouble for senior tenants

A broken elevator that caused trouble for dozens of senior citizens at Peternana Terrace in Freeport is now operational after two weeks.
Village Mayor Robert Kennedy says three citations were issued to the owners of the location while it was broken.
This isn't the first time there was trouble with the elevator at the complex.
The elevator was out of service for two months in 2017.
A representative for Peternana Terrace will appear in court.
Kennedy tells News 12 they could be facing thousands of dollars in fines.
