Police say a Brentwood teen was killed and his brother injured in a crash on Crooked Hill Road Tuesday.

Authorities say Benjamin Claudio, 16, was driving when he lost control and slammed into a tree before hitting parked cars in a lot. His 15-year-old, Peter, was in the passenger seat and died from his injuries at Southside Hospital. Benjamin was taken to Stony Brook University Medical Center and is in critical condition.

Cops say speed could have played a role in the crash. Authorities say Benjamin only has his junior license and should not have been driving alone.
