South Middle School hosted a night to celebrate Black History Month and recognize Black educators who are bringing up the next generation.
Students interviewed teachers, performed dances, read poems, and sang songs in honor of their heritage.
“We have chose to acknowledge different trailblazers in education such as former educators and administrators that have made impact to the Brentwood School community,” said Principal Barry Mohammed. “We are a multicultural place and environment, and we love to promote every ethnicity, every color.”
The event also served as a tribute to local history by honoring Brentwood educators both past and present.
