Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says it will be mostly cloudy Thursday with the possibility of scattered storm chances.

WEATHER TO WATCH: An area of low pressure passes just south of Long Island Thursday afternoon and evening to bring showers and storms with locally heavy rain and gusty winds. With the current storm path there could be some rotation in storms around Suffolk County, maybe a water spout around the East End. We'll have to watch the track and any changes closely Thursday morning. First half of the day is dry with rain between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.

THE WEEKEND: Looks nice and mostly dry. Chance for a few showers to pass by overnight Saturday into early Sunday morning.
OVERNIGHT: Partly cloudy and mild with lows near 68. Less wind. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
