THURSDAY: Cloudy, windy and rainy. The rainfall will be moderate and heavy during the morning and the evening commute. Expecting a dry period late morning into early afternoon. The second round of rain will bring more high wind gusts up to 40 mph. Rainfall totals are expected to be from 1-2 inches. Highs in the upper 50s. Lows in the upper 40s.

Hurricane Melissa: Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica around 1 p.m. Tuesday. It’s the strongest hurricane in history to make landfall in Jamaica and within the Atlantic Basin, tying only the Labor Day hurricane back in 1935. It will impact Cuba, Haiti and the surrounding islands later tonight into Wednesday.
