Hurricane Melissa: Hurricane Melissa made landfall in Jamaica around 1 p.m. Tuesday. It’s the strongest hurricane in history to make landfall in Jamaica and within the Atlantic Basin, tying only the Labor Day hurricane back in 1935. It will impact Cuba, Haiti and the surrounding islands later tonight into Wednesday.
