A gallery exhibition in Huntington is aiming to empower cancer survivors through art.
The exhibit is called “The Breast and the Sea: Transforming Our Scars.”
The exhibit features intimate photos of breast cancer survivors baring their scars while in water.
Cancer survivor and writer Rebecca Pine spearheaded the project.
"We all have scars in one form or another, whether they are outer or inner, and most of us have plenty of both,” says Pine. “I want them to feel empowered within themselves to just be authentically who they are."
The exhibit will be on display at Foto Foto Gallery in Huntington until Sept. 29.
