? A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was hit by a pickup truck in Deer Park over the weekend.

Police say the boy, Nicholas Lacascia, ran into the street on Somerset Place Saturday and was hit by the vehicle. His father, John, was also hit in an attempt to keep the boy out of the truck?s path. John Lacascia suffered minor injuries.

No charges have been filed against the driver.
