An 11-year-old boy died Friday after he was hit by a tractor-trailer while on his bicycle in Wyandanch.
Dairon Williams was killed when crossing Long Island Avenue.
The truck driver was on his way to make a delivery when he said a young boy on his bicycle came out of nowhere. He said he couldn?t swerve out of the way in time.
?All I remember is him looking at me right before the impact,? Agop Cuclu said. Culcu said the event will haunt him the rest of his life.
Cuclu said he veered into oncoming traffic and also hit a red minivan. Another man, Patrick Briscoe ran to help the mother and two children that were inside. He pulled them out of the car before they were taken to the hospital.
The two children are in critical condition at a local hospital.
Police said the driver will not face any charges.
