Long Island Restaurant Week has begun, and participating eateries throughout Nassau and Suffolk will serve prix-fixe menus for lunch and dinner.
Restaurant week is offered several times a year on Long Island to help local restaurants during what is traditionally a slow period. It also gives an opportunity to new restaurants in business.
The tri-annual event runs through Nov. 5.
