A bomb scare Thursday at the Nassau County Police Department's 2nd Precinct in Woodbury temporarily shut down the precinct and forced the evacuation of nearby buildings.
Police say they found a suspicious device inside of a car parked at the precinct shortly after 12:30 p.m.
Streets were closed and office buildings in the area were evacuated while the bomb squad surveyed the scene.
Officials say no explosives were found and that the area was deemed safe.
