A Port Jefferson Station man is a bowling champion, even winning national titles, despite being only able to see two feet in front of himself.
Henry Svetina, 50, was born in Brentwood. Thirty years ago, his eyes were burned in an industrial accident and he lost most of his eyesight. He moved to Florida and while living there, his friend suggested he get into bowling.
Svetina says bowling has changed his life and he now travels around the country, hoping to inspire others with disabilities.
