A strange getaway vehicle led police to two women suspected in an Oyster Bay burglary.Police say two women broke into a home on Orchard Street Thanksgiving morning and then called a cab to pick them up. Police say the pair requested a minivan and when the driver saw a safe, he became suspicious. The cab company told the police and later officers arrested Donna Mardovich, of Jericho, and Christine Britton, of East Norwich. Police say they recovered the safe at Britton?s home. Both were arraigned Saturday on burglary charges.

Police say the owner of the burglarized home recently passed away. Mardovich's lawyer said his client?s brother-in-law owned the home the safe came from. Both women were held on $5,000 bond or $2,500 cash.
