Investigators are trying to determine if the bitter cold weather was responsible for a Massapequa woman's death.
Authorities say a landscaper found 72-year-old Marian Krauss' body in the snow Monday outside her home on Lincoln Avenue. Police say Krauss collapsed while taking care of her dogs. Investigators say they are also looking into whether Krauss may have either slipped or fell while caring for the dogs. Neighbors called Krauss a wonderful person and said they were very sad to hear about her death.
