Some snow showers are likely to reach the borough. On-and-off rain and snow showers are likely to last into the start of the morning commute, leading to messy travel for the commute. While temperatures are expected to remain above freezing, it will be cold enough to support snow reaching the ground and mostly melting. If the snow falls heavily enough, some slushy coatings are possible on colder surfaces in northern parts of the borough.
A snow squall is expected as the storm pulls away, around 7 a.m. A quick burst of heavy wet snow could reduce visibility and make travel treacherous. Once the squall ends before 9 a.m., the sun quickly comes out and the temperatures begin to tumble.
Temperatures will dip below freezing after noon and feel like the 20s with gusts increasing to over 40 mph. A wind advisory is in effect from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday with gusts that could reach 50 mph.
Temperatures could dip into the teens for the first time this season Friday morning with 30 mph gusts and actual lows in the upper 20s. Saturday morning will be the coldest morning with lows in the middle 20s and feel-like temperatures in the upper teens.
The warmer rebound begins Saturday afternoon with highs approaching 40 degrees, then quickly nearing 50 degrees by Sunday afternoon. Highs could get close to 60 degrees next week with a potentially large rainstorm by Tuesday and/or Wednesday.
