The seventh annual Bikers for Babies ride took place in Point Lookout Sunday to raise money for premature babies.
Bikers from across Long Island turned out to support the March of Dimes event despite grey skies overhead. Among those who took part in the event was Dee Snider, lead singer of the band Twisted Sister.
"Two of my four children were born prematurely," says Snider, the 2009 March of Dimes Bikers for Babies national spokesman. "Thankfully they are healthy and strong without ongoing medical issues, but some families and some children aren't as fortunate."
