The unseasonable cold didn't stop a group of motorcyclists from delivering Easter baskets and smiles to children at a Mineola hospital Saturday.
Police provided the Huntington Harley Owners Group a full escort as they made their way to Winthrop University Hospital. Hospital administrators said the bikers, including one man dressed as the Easter bunny, brought a breath of fresh air to the children's wing and brightened everyone's day.
Suraj Sahadeo, of Rockaway, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last year. Sahadeo appreciated the Harley owners for coming. "I like the Easter bunny," Sahadeo said.
