Best Buy recalls over 187,000 Insignia Air Fryers and Air Fryer Ovens

Best Buy is pulling the air fryers because they can overheat and catch fire, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

About 187,400 Insignia Air Fryers and Air Fryer Ovens have been recalled because they can overheat and catch fire, according to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Best Buy recalled the affected air fryers that were sold from November 2021 through November 2023 for between $32 and $180. Model numbers affected are: NS-AF34D2, NS-AF5DSS2, NS-AF5MSS2, NS-AF8DBD2, NS-AF10DBK2, and NS-AF10DSS2.
CPSC says there has been 24 reports of overheating/melting or glass shattering, including six reports of air fryers catching on fire. The agency says no injuries or property damage have been reported.
The CPSC says consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Insignia air fryers and air fryer ovens.
