County Executive Steve Bellone gave an update Sunday on the COVID-19 response in Suffolk.
BRIEFING NOTES:
- 45 additional positive cases in the county. (.98 infection rate)
- 8 have been discharged in last 24 hours.
- 3 people died in the last 24 hours from COVID-19.
- Bellone credits people being outdoors for the continued diminution of COVID-19 numbers. He remains confident that the numbers will decrease this summer, but is wary about the fall.
- Bellone says he would like to see the Long Island Ducks play this season when Long Island reaches Phase 4.
