County Executive Steve Bellone announced changes Monday to this year's Suffolk County Marathon.
Bellone was joined by runners in Sayville to kick off the registration process for the race, which will be held on Oct. 30.
"The marathon, half-marathon, and 5K courses will have a reverse route which will mirror last year's course as much as possible to highlight the downtowns of South Shore Suffolk County," Bellone said.
The marathon will start and end in Patchogue. Last year's inaugural race raised over $160,000 for local veterans.
