4h agoSuffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced the first round of grant funding from opioid distributors and retail pharmacy settlements.
A total of 34 organizations will be awarded $25 million to be distributed over a three-year period to help end the epidemic.
Bellone stated that these funds will go towards helping those affected by the opioid crisis.
He also said a second round of grant applications will be announced later this year.
