She has lived an incredible life, having escaped Nazi Germany by moving to China and later opening up a knitting studio in the U.S. in the 1940s.
Girone celebrated the major milestone at Belair Nursing Home with family and friends.
She had volunteered to teach knitting before retiring at 102 in 2014.
