Police descended on a Bellmore neighborhood Friday night after shots were fired at a home on Boundary Road, causing a daylong lockdown.
Cops say a verbal argument between the man in the home and four others sparked the gunfire. They say two shots were fired and hit a vehicle.
Police were not sure whether the man was actually in the home when they arrived, but tried to contact him.
A neighbor, who would not give her name, spoke to News 12 Long Island. She said she?s friends with the man?s wife and that the fight was between neighborhood kids and the man?s son. She said the man was definitely not in the home while police were there.
Police would not confirm any details.
